Blogs in the Classroom

I have been using a blog for sometime now as a way to keep a portfolio of some of the work that I have done while receiving my credential. Blogs can be used in many ways and education has many uses for a blog. Having a classroom blog is a great way to keep students connected. It allows students to ask questions when in class they are either too nervous to do so or when they have a question that they thought about later in the day. It is also a good way of putting up review material or supplementary material for the day’s lesson. If students have to miss a day of school they can go on to the classroom blog and see what they missed and not fall behind. Blogs can also be used to post extra credit assignments. Blog’s are one more tool that we can use as teachers in order to reach all types of learners.
